About the Opportunity
Fredys support patients who do not have an available friend or family member for an outpatient procedure. Depending on the assignment, a Fredy may assist with check-in, remain available during the procedure, serve as the trusted or responsible adult contact, support discharge compliance, make a pharmacy stop, and provide transportation to the patient’s recovery destination.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and prepared for each accepted assignment
- Communicate professionally with patients and facility staff
- Serve as the trusted or responsible adult contact
- Remain available through the required procedure window
- Support the discharge and return-home transition
- Provide transportation when included in the assignment
- Follow MyFredy’s non-clinical scope and operating procedures
- Submit completion details through the MyFredy portal
Qualifications and Screening
Strong applicants typically bring meaningful professional experience in responsibility-driven roles such as customer service, caregiving, hospitality, transportation, healthcare administration, social services, education, public safety, or operations.
- Relevant professional experience and strong communication
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and sound judgment
- Comfort interacting with patients and provider staff
- Valid driver’s license when transportation is required
- Clean, reliable, insured qualifying vehicle in most markets
- Smartphone and reliable portal access
- Identity verification and applicable criminal background screening
- Interviews, documentation, onboarding, and training
Compensation and Work Structure
Fredys perform assignment-based work as independent contractors. Compensation is presented before an assignment is accepted and reflects service time, location, travel requirements, and assignment details.
Many standard assignments pay approximately $125 to $420 or more per assignment. MyFredy does not guarantee a minimum number of assignments, hours, or earnings.
