MyFredy Cares | Patient Access Initiative
Many patients can’t afford a professional medical companion and have no one to ask for help. This puts needed procedures — like stent removals, biopsies, cataract surgeries, or oral surgeries — at risk of delay or cancellation. And while some transportation may be covered by insurance or other programs, having a trusted person who stays on-site with the patient is not.
With support from partner organizations, and contributions from MyFredy, eligible patients may qualify for reduced-cost or no-cost medical companions, helping them meet provider requirements and get timely, safe care.
Who May Qualify?
- Their procedure requires a trusted companion present on the day of care
- No friend or family member is available to accompany them
- Paying full price for a medical companion would create a hardship
- A care coordinator, social worker, or medical facility has referred them
Financial support may be available for patients who meet program guidelines.
How It Works
- A care coordinator, social worker, or partner organization refers the patient to MyFredy Cares
- The patient receives an access code for discounted or no-cost medical companion services
- The patient books their companion appointment through MyFredy as usual
- Partner funding, along with contributions from MyFredy, helps cover the cost so patients can focus on their health
Our Commitment
MyFredy Cares is designed to help patients meet required companion policies fairly and reliably, while reducing cost worries. The program supports timely, safe treatment and better health outcomes for everyone.
How to Get Started
Patients who believe they may qualify should speak with their care coordinator or social worker about a MyFredy Cares referral, or email Cares@MyFredy.com.
