The day before, your staff call each patient to review pre-op instructions, confirm arrival times, and ensure they have someone to bring them, wait during their procedure, take them home, and stay with them through early recovery. Service Options

Full Service — Morning Arrival & Return Home

We arrive with the patient in the morning, stay on-site during the procedure, receive discharge instructions, and provide private transportation home — staying until they are settled. Pharmacy stop included if needed.

Discharge-to-Home Service

In cases where patients find their own way to the surgery center - we arrive about one hour before expected discharge. This gives your staff confidence, allows us to hear instructions directly, and can sometimes facilitate an earlier discharge when appropriate.

Our Fredys: More Than “Just a Ride”

A Fredy is a trained, vetted, and insured professional who understands post-procedure needs. We are not a rideshare.

  • Many Fredys are bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Haitian Creole translators can be arranged upon request.
  • We stay with the patient at their home until they are safely situated and have what they need for the initial recovery period.
  • We coordinate with ASC staff before departure so everyone is confident in the plan home.
